Grab your girlfriends and call in well to work. Today, April 20 is Ladies Day Out, sponsored by Shades of Pink Magazine. The fun happens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, with prizes, games, health screenings, fashion previews, product samples, gift certificates, shopping and food.  Admission is free, including the parking at the hospital on U.S. 1.

The 99.9 Gator Country Concert Series goes on this Saturday at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena with music by Emerson Drive, Danny Gokey and Frankie Ballard.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and concert begins at 8 p.m.  Before the concert, a Kids Zone is in place outside the arena with free activities beginning at 4 p.m.  Kids who want to join in the Kids Fitness Zombie Chase can register in advance for $15. The fee includes a t-shirt and medal for all finishers, and the proceeds go to the National Foundation for Transplants.
