Moms-for-moms site Plum District is offering $15 toward a subscription to Little Black Bag for $5. LBB is part discount shopping, part treasure hunt. You select a designer item at a big discount, then the fashionistas at LBB add one to three additional items to your little black bag. Then, you have a chance to trade items with other LBB subscribers–all online–before your package ships. Definitely a deal for those who think of shopping as a sporting event!

Writing the Jacksonville on the Cheap blog is the surest way to get in a discount-giving mood. So, for the month of June, I’m giving customers who shop from my Mary Kay website (one of my other endeavors) a $10 discount on orders of $40 or more, plus free shipping. Shop for Father’s Day–or just for yourself. The offer is good through June 31. Just write “On-the-Cheap” in the customer comments box at checkout and the discount will be applied. This offer is only good at www.marykay.com/belindahulin.
Love Ur Mother, a festival celebrating conservation, food, art and fashion will be rocking Hemming Plaza Wednesday, May 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. The event is part of First Wednesday ArtWalk and features dishes made from organic ingredients, a display of decorated river-friendly rain barrels and a catwalk fashion show featuring clothing made of recycled materials. Part of the proceeds from purchases at the festival will benefit St. Johns Riverkeeper.
