The Fernandina Farmer’s market offers good prices on in-season produce, plus herb plants and a variety of handcrafted prepared foods. The market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centre and 7th Streets in downtown Fernandina. If you can’t make it to Amelia Island, ramble over to Neptune Beach for the Beaches Green Market in Jarboe Park, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. In addition to produce, organic dog treats and other prepared foods, you’ll find natural cosmetics, seasonal specialties and teas. And, if you’re in St. Johns County, the Nocatee Farmer’s Market in Farmer’s Market Field across from the Splash WaterPark has 70 vendors, including BBQ stands, crafts and produce. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
