The theme of this month’s Jacksonville Art Walk is Conservation, Fashion and Art, with young artists and plenty of musicians offering different interpretations of the theme. In addition, the fete takes on a French theme with two French Schooners docked at The Landing to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Ribault’s landing at Mayport. There’s also a presentation on Jean Ribault at the Main Library and French-themed fare at local eateries. The fun happens downtown from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight, May 2 with exhibits and performers at several venues. Vendors will be selling arts and crafts in Hemming Plaza and at other locales. Details on exhibits and a map for the self-guided Art Walk tour can be found at www.downtownjacksonville.org.
