If you haven’t made it to the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to spy the dapper penguins of Tuxedo Coast, now’s your chance. You can avoid the sweltering heat and crowds of summer, and get 50 percent off regular admission of $8.95 for kids and $13.95 for adults.

Just watch your favorite weathercaster. If a majority of Jacksonville’s top meteorologists predict high temperatures of 52 degrees or below for the following day, the Zoo website will post a 50-percent off coupon on the homepage, www.jacksonvillezoo.org, for that date. Print the coupon and enjoy the visit. Oh, and the penguins are fed at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The 52 at the Zoo promotion goes on through Feb. 28.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is at 370 Zoo Parkway, Jacksonville. Phone: 904- 757-4463
